Nobody has to volunteer to organise any of this. It is in the calendar before the year starts, and it happens whether the month was a good one or not.
And once in the year, in Ramadan: the company Iftar at a five-star Dubai hotel, with the Annual Awards the same night.
Diwali, Christmas and Eid sit on top of that, and so does anything else the office decides to mark.
Badminton, bowling, table tennis, football, cricket. A hall is booked and the office closes into it.
Dinner at a good Dubai restaurant, on the company, with everybody at the same table.
Three awards handed over in front of everyone, in the same week as the dinner.
A brokerage that only ever claps for the biggest number teaches everybody exactly one thing. We hand out three.

Newest first. Every event adds its own group, so this gets longer on its own.
Everyone's festivals get marked. You are not expected to sit one out because it is not yours, and you are not expected to join one because it is.
